How to
troubleshoot a hp laptop?

Find out the model number and the serial number. You will
find this information on the bottom of the laptop. You need this information if support is required and if you want to order parts
· The power cord will be removed to ensure whether the
laptop is turning on with the battery. If the laptop is not turning on then
this might be because of a dead battery.
· The power cord will be plugged into the computer and into an electrical outlet. Make sure that there is the power to the outlet. After that try
to turn on the computer

See whether the computer is turning on and the desktop is
on the computer. Power is not there to the computer then you have to replace the
power supply. If there is power then the light will blink and it will appear on the
